Rhonda Clare Ursulak (01May1938 - 27Sep2026)

Strength, Tenderness, and Unconditional Love.

May you be at peace
RHONDA URSULAK

It is with loving hearts and cherished memories that we announce the passing of Rhonda Ursulak, who left us on September 27th, 2026, at the Malaspina Age Care facility in Nanaimo at the age of 88.

Born on May 1st, 1938, in St. Catharines, Ontario, Rhonda was the youngest of four sisters. Her husband of an inspiring 64 years of marriage pre-ceased her, and is survived by her son Chris Ursulak.

Rhonda was devoted to her family--a loving wife and mom—always keeping those she loved closest to her heart, especially David, whose care was always in her mind. Rhonda loved her needlepoint, sewing, and was an exceptional ‘hooker’. Her works took many months to complete and will remain beautiful memories of her devotion and attention for many, many years to come. Mom enjoyed making her own clothing, as well as for others. Her sewing room resembled a small store with every possible accessory you could imagine. Rhonda had an infectious smile and a lively sense of humour.

Despite her physical challenges, she always had a witty comeback. She also loved her games - Mahjong, and Mexican Train. Rhonda was known for blocking people that tried to beat her - but with a smile!

In lieu of flowers, Rhonda would wish for donations to be made to the MS Society of Canada, The Salvation Army or The Mentor Family Network Organization (MFNO.org), allowing her spirit of giving and compassion to continue.

Rhonda Ursulak lived a full life enjoying her family, hobbies, and fun times with friends. She will be missed dearly.
