As a seasoned professional, with innate business savvy, health and safety, ergonomics and human factors skills, high profile incident investigations and auditing, safety software development, I leverage my background and qualifications in order to obtain extraordinary outcomes and added-value programs making positive & meaningful contributions in client, community and interst group growth. Having worked with non-profit, public, unionized and private organizations, in creating and implementing policy, managing information and education, organizing consultations, and writing and editing for publication, my political, legal and technical skills have excelled.

Past Human Kinetics/ Human Biology Alumni Association President. I have also been involved with developing design concepts and best practice guidance for construction/industrial industries that have higher incidence of musculoskeletal injury.  This work involved visiting different sites and assessing/ recording practices, and also developing both short and long term design solutions to help prevent and improve problem tasks.  I thoroughly enjoyed using my psychological, physiological and anatomical knowledge of the human body and putting theory to practical use, with the users in mind at all times. My consultancy work included working on projects that played an important role in the real world of health, safety, accident/injury prevention and providing scientific expertise that was used by clients to support enforcement decisions, facilitate rehabilitation and prevent injury.

My professional success has included several components, but the most important may be consistent communication and my proactive approach to the implementation of all aspects of health and safety. Both were vital for the purpose of determining the essential functions of the job, the physical, ergonomic and cognitive requirements of the job, working conditions, work site structure, skills needed, and any other characteristic that were pertinent to the performance of the job and identifying job modification and accommodations.  Frequent communication and consultation were also indispensable to effectively liaise with client, management & workers, facilitate resolution of return to work cases, deliver advice services, ensure quality negotiation, accurate detailed and user-centred documentation, follow-up, reviews, and confirmation of client satisfaction & service to meet project demands and deadline constraints.

Community & Volunteerism

Dedicated to contributing and giving back to the communities, people and causes I connect with. I have been volunteering and donating in different capacities since 1989.

The groups and initiatives I've been involved with have either made the community as a whole safer or healthier, helped ensure an environment for people to enjoy and build a healthy relationship with nature and peace, promoted a health profession and its members, helped ease the suffering of those affected by disease, war or persecution.
